Heron River Common Areas

Heron River HOA common areas are posted with No Trespassing and are for the exclusive use of our members and their accompanied guests. Also, per the Association CC&Rs members may not park their vehicles on the streets in the areas adjoining or near any member residential properties. Therefore, please be respectful of other members in the use and parking of your vehicles related to your use of common areas.

Dues

All homeowners pay quarterly HOA dues of $400.

HOA dues cover the care and maintenance of all common areas.

Dues also cover Silver Star, a local internet service company, at a base rate of $75 per quarter for fiber optic internet service in your home.

Creekside Subdivision homes pay an additional $305 per quarter for landscape, fence maintenance, and snow removal services.

Irrigation

Landscape irrigation water is provided from roughly May to October. We ask that proper water conservation practices are used throughout the season to maintain your yard.

Trash Cans

HOA  rules require trash cans to be out of view from the front of your home. We have developed several solutions, including a resin trashcan container, mesh black screening attached to the front fence, and leaving trashcans inside the garage.

Dogs

Heron River and the City of Star enforce laws regarding always keeping your dog on a leash while off your property. The City and HOA also have rules regarding picking up fecal matter immediately on common areas or city property. The HOA has provided several stations around the neighborhood to assist with cleanup and disposal.

Fishing

Per State Rules in Idaho Fish and Game regulations, it is unlawful to enter private land to hunt, fish, ortrap without permission if the land is associated with a residence or business. The Heron River HOA common areas are associated with member residences and cannot be entered or used for hunting, fishing, trapping, or access to adjacent land for these purposes. There is one allowed exception: members may fish on the common area ponds as defined in the HOA Fishing Policy. State regulations call for Fish and Game wardens to confiscate licenses, and trespassers may be prosecuted and fined.

Public access for hunting or fishing along the Boise River south of Heron River HOA is allowed with landowner permission. Public access is provided at the Star River House, with parking provided there.

Safety is a priority, and if you see inappropriate behavior or trespassing, contact the Star Police / Ada County Sheriff dialing 911. You may also report violations of hunting and fishing regulations to any Idaho Department of Fish and Game office or warden.
