Heron River’s community and social events are essential for fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie among residents within our community. Our social committee does a fantastic job at creating some awesome events throughout the year for our community. For instance, the Ladies Lunch Bunch, Bingo, Mah-Jongg, Bunco and more. By participating in these events, homeowners can strengthen the bonds within the community, enhance the quality of life for all residents, and create a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone to enjoy.
MONTHLY ONGOING EVENTS
The Ladies Lunch Bunch is a monthly gathering that takes place on the second Friday of each month at 11:30 AM. To participate, please reach out to the social committee who will guide you through the sign-up process using a platform called SignupGenius. After you’re added to the platform, you’ll receive monthly email notifications about upcoming events. The theme and instructions for each gathering will be provided within the event description on SignupGenius.
Heron River residents can come and enjoy a lively evening at the Community Center every fourth Thursday of the month. Doors open at 6 PM, and Bingo starts promptly at 6:30 PM. For just $5 in cash, you’ll receive a set of 10 cards. No registration is needed—simply show up and bring your own snacks and beverages or extras to share with fellow attendees. Stay updated on the event schedule by checking the events calendar on the community website or the HOA portal calendar.
Mah-Jongg is an engaging and well-liked game that challenges players to complete a tile-matching puzzle within a limited number of moves. To get a better understanding of the game and its rules, refer to this instructional video.
Heron River residents gather at the community center every Tuesday of each month at 1 PM. Reach out to the event organizer to join this fun and social activity.
Bunco is played at the community center on the 1st Monday and 2nd Tuesday of each month, at 5:30pm. Bunco is currently full however, if you would like to be a sub please reach out to the Social Committee to be added to the sub list.
This event typically occurs the first Thursday of each month from 5:30-7:00pm at the community center. Please double check calendar of events to make sure it is scheduled as sometime this event can change.
Please bring your own wine, beer or nonalcoholic drink and an appetizer to share.
HERON RIVER CRAFTERS
The Heron River Crafters is a team that organizes a variety of social events that homeowners can participate. These events are limited in space and are paying events, which covers materials and /or instructors.
These fun community events are typically organized by talented homeowners, which bring a unique and enjoyable experience to the neighborhood. These events not only provide a fun and engaging way for residents to socialize and connect with one another but also showcase the diverse talents and skills within the community.
Some past events have included line dancing sessions, offering a lively and energetic atmosphere where participants can learn new dance moves and enjoy the music together. Cooking classes provide an opportunity for residents to share their culinary expertise, exchange recipes, and explore different cuisines. Cookie decorating workshops allow individuals to unleash their creativity, bond over sweet treats, and create delicious works of art. These homeowner-led events not only promote a sense of community and togetherness but also encourage collaboration, learning, and the celebration of individual talents within the neighborhood. Tana will add you to the Heron River Crafters SignupGenius and send you a link to sign up for that specific month event. You are responsible for signing up for that specific event you want to attend.
Once you are added to Signup Genius, you will receive a monthly email notifying you about the Crafters Event. All you need to do is sign up!

EASTER (April)
Our community center Easter event is a festive and family-friendly celebration. Kids can indulge in delicious Easter-themed treats such as chocolate eggs, colorful candies, and freshly baked goods. Heron River Community Yard Sale (June)
Typically takes place around the first or second weekend in June. Our community yard sale is a fantastic opportunity for residents to declutter their homes and find new treasures. Joining the yard sale allows neighbors to connect, bond over shared interests, and support sustainable practices by giving pre-loved items a new home. Don’t miss out on this exciting event where you can discover hidden gems, socialize with fellow community members, and contribute to a more vibrant and connected neighborhood.
End of Summer Pool Party (August)
The end of summer pool party at Heron River promises a fun-filled and memorable experience for all residents. With free food and drinks available, residents can indulge in delicious treats and refreshing beverages while enjoying the poolside festivities. This event also features free carnival games with exciting prizes, adding an element of friendly competition and entertainment for kids. As a free event exclusively for Heron River residents, the pool party serves as a fantastic opportunity for neighbors to come together, socialize, and create lasting memories as they bid farewell to the summer season in style.
Heron River’s Holiday Boutique (November)
Heron River’s Holiday Boutique, typically held the first weekend in November, is a festive and community-driven event where residents can showcase and sell their crafts. This boutique provides a platform for talented homeowners to display their handmade creations, ranging from unique artworks to homemade goods. Residents have the opportunity to share their skills and creativity with their neighbors, creating a vibrant marketplace filled with one-of-a-kind items. The Holiday Boutique not only supports local artisans but also fosters a sense of community pride as residents come together to celebrate the holiday season and support each other’s talents.
